Sonerila - symmetric (stemmed)

Sonerila is the genus from Melastomaceae family that contains small, generally perennial plants which are perfect for terrariums. They mostly inhabits shady locations of tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Many species are very colourful and a few are iridescent.

Symmetric Sonerila plants have classic, upright stem with symmetrically growing leaves, so a generally more ordinary shape than others. But they are absolutely no less colourful – there are many stunning species among them. They are considered as more easy to cultivate and being a bit faster growers.
