Sonerila - long-leaved

Sonerila is the genus from Melastomaceae family that contains small, generally perennial plants which are perfect for terrariums. They mostly inhabits shady locations of tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Many species are very colourful and a few are iridescent.

Long-leaved Sonerila species have the most elongated leaves and their assymetry is very subtle or just merely visible. They are generally slightly smaller and grows either fully or partially upright.
