Labisia sp. Dino is another species with interesting leaf structure. Leaves look something between Labisia sp. Snake Skin and sp. Rhino Skin. Depends on conditions their colour may vary from green-brown, black-brown with slight blue sheen to purplish/pinkish.  A slow growing species.

Description

Labisia sp. Dino from Borneo is yet another Labisia species. Plants of this genus are mostly slow growers with big, quite rigid and thick, leathery leaves which are very ornamental. Labisia are generally medium-sized plants, can be cultivated on windowsills with higher humidity or in terarraiums / vivariums.

Labisia sp. Dino growing conditions:

  • Light: moderate (but tolerates low to high)
  • Humidity: high (around 70% or higher)
  • Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging for a longer period of time).
  • Soil: acidic with good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar)
  • Fertilizing: low
