Description
Emblemantha urnulata “Delicate Green” is another form of so-called Ardisia sp. Sumatra / Jambi aka Labisia sp. Riau – all these names are synonyms of the same, extremely variable and plant species which the correct name is (but not widely confirmed yet) Emblemantha urnulata. It is great, medium-sized (usually up to around 30 cm tall and across) rare species for terrarium / vivarium. It is quite robust and easy to grow plant which tolerates wide range of conditions. But please note: depending on the conditions they can change or lose some colours if they are not appropriate (for example: if you put this form under dim light then its leaves will be brown).
Emblemantha urnulata “Delicate Green” growing conditions:
- Light: moderate (but tolerates low to high)
- Humidity: high (70% or higher)
- Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging for a longer period of time).
- Soil: acidic with good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar)
- Fertilizing: very low to low
