Description
Cephalotus follicularis “Red” is carnivorous pitcher plant from South-West Australia, where it grows on swamps. It develops compact rosettes of rather small (around 5 cm) pitchers. Ordinary, non-carnivorous leaves are produced only in spring.
Cephalotus follicularis “Red” growing conditions:
- Humidity: high (70 – 90%)
- Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but also avoid sogging).
- Soil: acidic with very good drainage (peat with perlite or similar)
- Fertilizing: very low to none
- Light: medium to high
