Description
Begonia rockii is probably the biggest Begonia species which can be so strongly iridescent (there are some even larger species, but they are not as much iridescent as Begonia rockii). In contrary to other iridescent Begonia from our offer, this species is rhizomatous, not stemmed. Nevertheless, it likes high humidity, so keeping it in terrarium or vivarium is recommended.
For sale we offer only the best, much blue and very iridescent specimens from selected clones!
Begonia rockii growing conditions:
- Humidity: high (around 70% or higher).
- Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging).
- Soil: acidic with good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar).
- Fertilizing: low.
- Light: low to intermediate (the best blue colours are achieved under weak light).
