Sonerila - asymmetric (intermediate)

Sonerila is the genus from Melastomaceae family that contains small, generally perennial plants which are perfect for terrariums. They mostly inhabits shady locations of tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. Many species are very colourful and a few are iridescent.

Besides fully asymmetric and completely symmetric Sonerila plants there are also many species which are asymmetric (although in lesser extent), but have more intermediate leaves, leaning towards the long-leaved ones. This group is quite large and several stunning, rare and new  Sonerila species belong there.
