Begonia sp. Borneo Ferny is a really stunning,  iridescent Begonia species. It has more narrow leaves which are developing alternately from both sides of red, hairy stem, which makes a whole plant looks like a fern’s leaf.

Description

Begonia sp. Borneo Ferny is a very rare and unique iridescent Begonia species. It originates from unspecified location of Borneo and it is extremely rarely seen in cultivation. Like other stemmed Begonia from forest floor it should be kept in terrarium or another closed container.

Begonia sp. Borneo Ferny iridescent plant growing conditions:

  • Humidity: very high (at least 80% or higher)
  • Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging).
  • Soil: acidic with good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar)
  • Fertilizing: low
  • Light: low to intermediate (the best blue colours are achieved under weak light)
