Sonerila sp. Glowing Dots has white dots like many other Sonerila species, but they are mostly sparsely arranged on the whole surface of leaves (except close to the edges) and they have characteristic green background. This makes that they look glowing. Moreover, the plant is covered with purple hairs and leaf veins are paler. Simply lovely look! The photos do not reflect the real beauty of the plant. It blooms with small pink flowers.

Description

Sonerila sp. Glowing Dots is an undescribed species from Borneo. With it’s adult size of around 15 cm in diameter and stunning, colourful pattern it is perfectly suited for terrariums, vivariums and jars. It needs very similar conditions to Begonia and other small plants from tropical forest floor, which is rather dark and very humid.

Sonerila sp. Glowing Dots growing conditions:

Humidity: high (80% or higher).
Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging).
Soil: acidic with very good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar; pure Sphagnum works very well, too).
Fertilizing: low.
Light: intermediate to low.
