Description
This beautiful species of Labisia is mostly known simply under name “Turtle Back”. It characterizes this plant very well. With it’s glossy and waxy leaves with unique pattern, Labisia beccarii is extremely ornamental, eye-catching plant. Slow growing, but generally tough species. This pink / red form needs stronger light and may turn completely green under dim light.
- Light: moderate to high light levels
- Humidity: high (70% or higher)
- Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging for a longer period of time).
- Soil: acidic with good drainage (Sphagnum moss with perlite and peat or similar)
- Fertilizing: low
