Description
Begonia sp. Trang (B. tanjiewhoei) is another stunning, rhizomatous Begonia species which grows on calcareous rocks. It is slightly smaller than many other rhizomatous species which means it is very-well suited for appropriately designed terrariums and vivariums.
Begonia sp. Trang (B. tanjiewhoei) growing conditions:
- Humidity: high (70% or higher)
- Watering: intermediate (do not let the soil dry out, but avoid sogging for a longer period of time).
- Soil: slightly acidic or neutral with very good drainage (pumice/perlite with only a bit of organic compunds like Sphagnum moss) with limestone added
- Fertilizing: low
- Light: intermediate
