Description
Microsorum siamensis (syn. = Microsorum siamense) is related to M. thailandicum, but it is even less known in cultivation, being officially described in 2009 only. It also comes from the southermost region of Thailand. It is a great addition to every terrarium or vivarium.
Please note that this species sometimes may drop part of leaves during shipping and acclimatization.
Microsorum siamensis (M. siamense) growing conditions:
- Humidity: high (80% or higher)
- Watering: intermediate or low (do not let the soil dry out completely, but definitely avoid sogging).
- Soil: almost any kind with very good drainage, use mostly inorganic compounds to avoid sogging (plant is prone to rotting)
- Fertilizing: low
- Light: low to intermediate (the best blue colours are achieved under weak light)
